If we've been friends for awhile, you already know how much I adore Everlane. The past year, I've been trying to minimize my wardrobe by investing in good design and quality items instead of trendy pieces that get tossed after a season. Everlane is the perfect way to build a basic wardrobe.
From their silk shirts to casual tees, Everlane is the best in my book. Everything I invest in has amazing quality, feel, and fit--not to mention, I actually know where my clothes are coming from and how they're being made. For this conscious consumer, it's a win-win.
A few weeks ago for Valentine's Day, E and I bought each other gifts from Everlane. He was in dire need of a new black leather belt, and I'd had my eye on the Dopp Kit as a new makeup bag for quite some time. It was the perfect little gift exchange.
The belt arrived in a cotton bag and as soon as I opened it, I could smell the richness of the leather. Is anyone else kind of obsessed with that smell? E's not a big shopper and could care less about clothes, but when he put the belt on, he was instantly sold. The leather is so soft, durable, and beautiful.
My makeup bag was just as good of a find. It's the perfect size and fit for all my makeup essentials, and the small front zipper pocket in the front is an added bonus for keeping my makeup tools like extra brushes and tweezers separate from my cosmetics. The bag is now proudly displayed on the glass shelf in our bathroom, the perfect gray tone to compliment the room's aesthetics.

Like always, this post isn't sponsored. I just love Everlane too much to keep quiet about it.
As for blogging, I've been feeling a little uninspired lately. It's hard finding the time to write a blog post, let alone work on my creative writing portfolio. I'm really eager to curate a collection of short stories for publication, but I just haven't had the time or inspiration for it just yet. With all of my jewelry rebranding and managing the bridal shop full-time now, my leisure hours have been spent watching House of Cards with E and catching up with friends. But I'm not complaining. The inspiration--and time--will present itself soon, once everything settles down. This year has already been an incredible one, and I'm so excited to see what March brings. For all of us.
